A choir for your wedding?

The Festival Choir is available to sing at weddings, by arrangement. Please contact the choir director in the first instance - email festivalchoir1@gmail.com

We can provide a full choir, a quartet, a soloist or a combination of any of these. We can augment your marriage service by supporting the congregation in the singing of hymns, and during the signing of the register sing an anthem, and/or provide a soloist.

There is a 6.5 minute DVD available on loan to show what we can do, please ask to see it!

We have a list of suitable anthems (most of which are as below), and can help or advise with the choice of music for the occasion if wished.  And also help find you an organist if necessary!

Please click here for a helpful note on wedding music.

Please give us as much notice as possible so we can be sure to have people available.

We normally make a nominal charge of £100 for the provision of the choir.  Should the services of a soloist be required, there is a further charge that the soloist or choir director may make at their discretion.  We distribute what the choir earns among the churches we serve, and to local charities.

Anthems that we can offer include:-
Bach "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring"
Brahms "How lovely are thy dwellings fair" from the German Requiem
Chilcott "Irish Blessing"
Elgar "Ave verum corpus"
Franck "Panis Angelicus"
Goodall "The Lord is my shepherd" (theme from "The Vicar of Dibley")
Handel - Hallelujah Chorus from "Messiah"
Jenkins - "Benedictus" from The Armed Man
Lloyd Webber "Pie Jesu" - duet with choral accompaniment
